Temporary Spatial Installation
Rijeka, Croatia
2018
Conceived during EASA — European Architecture Students’ Assembly in Rijeka, the project introduced a temporary pedestrian connection across the Dead Canal of the river Rječina through a suspended structure constructed entirely from hand-tightened hemp rope.
Developed through collective on-site experimentation with tension, movement and instability, the pavilion proposed new spatial relationships between Rijeka’s historic center and abandoned industrial zone.
