Neurorehabilitation Clinic & Research Campus
Vitznau, Switzerland
2025
La Terrazza is conceived as a terraced structure embedded within the natural slope, forming a small self-contained world centered around long-term neurorehabilitation for children.
The project combines a neuroclinic, research and educational facilities, family accommodation and shared public spaces within a landscape-oriented environment closely connected to nature throughout the year.
Outdoor terraces, evergreen vegetation and integrated sustainable systems create a therapeutic setting designed to support recovery, care and everyday life.

Core & Circulation Strategy
A continuous vertical service core organizes the building’s technical infrastructure and minimizes the need for auxiliary service spaces. Positioned between the rock face and the central core, a circulation spine links the staircases with the individual program areas while providing access for maintenance and building services.
The spine also functions as a protected escape route, forming a continuous fire compartment that extends throughout the building.
